             Rules & Regulations (Guidelines) – Swar Sangram

1. Song & Language Selection

  • Participants may choose any song suitable to their respective category.

  • Songs may be performed in any of the 22 official languages of India including Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Dogri, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali, Odia, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Santhali, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

  • The maximum duration of the video must not exceed 300 seconds (5 minutes).

2. Mandatory Pre-Recording Announcement

Before starting the performance, the participant must display the printed entry pass on their body and clearly state the following details on video:

  • Registration Number

  • Full Name

  • City & State

  • Language of the Song

  • Song Title

  • Film Name (if applicable)

  • Singer/Composer Name

3. Ethical & Content Guidelines

  • The voice, lyrics, and performance must not hurt the sentiments of any country, people, religion, caste, language, individual, or geographical identity.

  • Any performance violating social, cultural, or national harmony will be immediately disqualified.

4. Performance & Presentation Rules

  • Participants may use lyric notes during recording.

  • Natural body expressions are allowed.

  • Recording must be done in a quiet environment with:

    • Clear audio quality

    • Proper lighting

    • Clearly visible facial expressions

    • Speaker centered in the frame

  • Background must NOT be blue or green.

  • The video must be recorded only in landscape mode.

  • Portrait mode videos will be rejected.

5. Editing & Voice Restrictions

  • No duet or co-singer is allowed. Only the participant’s voice must be present.

  • Except for the beginning and ending trims, no editing is allowed during the performance section.

  • Any background voice or digital manipulation will be treated as a violation.

6. Submission Process

Participants must upload:

  • The recorded singing video

  • One mobile selfie

  • Photo identity proof (copy)

  • Swar Sangram Registration Number

Submissions must be uploaded only through the official portal or via the link sent to the registered email ID.

7. Registration Number Usage

  • During video submission, interviews, and all communication, the candidate must compulsorily use the issued Registration Number.

  • Participants must maintain strict confidentiality of their registration number.

  • Only one Registration Number is permitted per participant.

  • Multiple entries will result in rejection.

8. Usage Rights & Social Media Policy

  • The organization reserves the full right to use submitted singing videos for evaluation, promotion, and display on its portal and official social media platforms.

  • Participants are strictly prohibited from uploading their submitted competition video on any other social media or online platform.

  • Violation will lead to immediate disqualification.

9. Quality & Deadline Compliance

  • Only high-quality videos submitted within the specified deadline will be considered valid.

  • Late or incomplete entries will be automatically rejected.

Selection Process

The Swar Sangram selection process is conducted through four structured and transparent rounds to ensure fair evaluation and the identification of the finest vocal talent.

First Round – Online Screening (Video Submission)

  • Candidates must upload a vocal performance video of up to 300 seconds strictly as per the official guidelines.

  • The upload link will be shared by the organization through the registration confirmation email.

Along with the video, candidates must submit:

  • Swar Sangram Registration Number

  • One selfie photograph clicked using a mobile phone

  • Copy of a valid Photo Identity Proof

Shortlisting Criteria:

  • Overall performance quality

  • Vocal application and clarity

  • Audience engagement on YouTube (likes, comments, and total views)

  • Jury evaluation

Only shortlisted candidates will advance to the Second Round.

Second Round – Jury Challenge & Interview

  • The jury panel may assign a song of their choice to the candidates.

  • Participants must record and submit a fresh vocal video based on the jury’s instructions.

  • Selected finalists from this round will attend a live audio-video interview.

  • Based on performance and interaction before the jury, 60 candidates from each division will qualify for the Studio Round.

Third Round – Live Studio Voice Test

  • Qualified candidates will participate in a live studio voice test.

  • Candidates must showcase their technical skills, vocal control, expression, and versatility.

  • From this round, the Top 9 finalists from each division will be selected for the Grand Finale.

Fourth Round – Grand Finale & Award Ceremony

  • The 9 finalists from each division will give a live stage performance.

  • Based on the combined evaluation of the jury panel and special jury members, the following will be declared:

    • First Prize Winner

    • Second Prize Winner

    • Third Prize Winner

  • The remaining 150 finalists will be honored with the prestigious
    “Veerochit Gayak Award.”

Final Decision

The decision of the judges and jury panel shall be final and binding in all matters related to selection and awards.

1. How do I submit my video?

Participants can upload their competition video using the secure upload link sent to their registered email address after successful registration. Alternatively, the video upload link provided on this page may also be used for submission.

2. What subjects are available?

Each category in the competition has access to the same six subjects. The detailed list of subjects will be shared with participants via their registered email after successful registration.

3. What are the interview rounds?

After video submission, shortlisted participants may be invited for telephonic and video interview rounds as part of the official evaluation and screening process.

4. Is there a registration fee?

Yes. A non-refundable registration fee of ₹249 is mandatory to participate in the competition. The fee can be paid securely through the “Pay & Register” link available on the website.

5. When is the video submission deadline?

The official deadline for video submissions will be announced on our website and social media platforms. Participants are advised to regularly check these channels for updates, important dates, and official announcements.
